WHAT IS PAWNBOSS?
All pawnbrokers will agree that once a customer has made use of the services of a pawn shop he/she will invariably do so again. You will also know that a particular customer will repeatedly use the same item(s) as security for the loan(s). The design of PawnBoss is based on these two principles.
PawnBoss also boasts among others, a number of useful financial reports that can be run for any period. The majority of reports are also automatically written to an MS Excel spreadsheet every time you run the report.
Security
The pawnbroker can determine which functions each staff member will have access to. Functions are allocated to groups and users are assigned as members of a group.
Bar Codes
Users have the choice whether they would like to make use of bar codes labels or not. PawnBoss has been setup to the use the Brother QL560 and QL570 label printers and Brother DK11209 “small address” labels (62mm X 29mm).
Pawn Contracts
As the authors of PawnBoss cannot guarantee that the wording used in any of their standard contracts and/or documentation will always stand up in court in your specific area we are more than willing to incorporate your current contracts and/or documentation for your exclusive use.
Import of existing data
Although new users also have the option to import their existing pawn contracts, lay-by agreements and customer information, experience have taught us that it is normally only the current stock on hand that is imported.
If you are currently using an electronic system we will most probably be able to assist you in transferring the data to PawnBoss.
Photographs
Take photographs of your customers as well as valuable items from within the application. Any Web Cam connected to your PC will do.
Scanning of Identity Documents
PawnBoss can now also scan ID documents and make it available from within the application. Connect any cheap flat bed scanner to your PC and PawnBoss will do the rest.
DO I NEED A LICENSE FOR EVERY PC IN MY STORE?
No, you only need one license per store but should you open a second store you will have to purchase an additional license for that store.
WHAT DO I GET IN EXCHANGE FOR MY LICENSE FEE?
The assurance that we will be around if and when you need help. Free upgrades, all the electronic support that we could possibly give you via e-mail, fax, etc.
IS THE LICENSE TRANSFERABLE?
Yes, if you made use of payment option 1 and you sell your business or at the end of your 12 month license period.
CAN I RETURN THE SOFTWARE FOR A REFUND?
No, once your license has been issued you cannot return the software. You may however sell your software at the end of a license period.
